Part of this department is a studies chaine for Film / TV which mostly for the moment is open for camera-students. The education program for these students includes "Sound" and "Auditive Design." For that we have two full DAW equiped studios (ProTools). One of these studios is now also equipped with a Kyma / Capybara System for Sound Design. In the future, it is planned to have a second study chain in "Film/TV" which will be called "Post Production." Part of that study chain will then be "Sound Design" open for students who will concentrate on the audio for Movies.

Studies in Music Technology at the University of Oregon are directed toward students who wish to pursue creative careers. The curriculum hinges on the balance between the development of artistic and aesthetic knowledge and the mastery of the technical aspects of the discipline. Courses emphasize music composition, performance and real-time interactive media environments in collaboration with artists outside of music. Exit exams are affiliated with degree programs to assure technical mastery. The various curriculums are not oriented toward the vocational training of recording engineers, or related technicians.
