Visionary and inexpressible, the work of Paul Rutherford with Robert Jarvis and Lawrence Casserley - who process the sound of trombone through computer manipulations - resists to any kind of classification, as the rotund phrasing by Rutherford is morphed into quasi-indeterminacy, but always within the borders of imperfect - better, mangled - raw beauty. -- Touching Extremes
