Start your Cosmic Engines
Live performance: 29 May 2008 -- 8:00 PM
Presented by: ScottMiller
Public: $15
The Southern Theater, 1420 Washington Ave. South
Minneapolis -- USA
http://www.southerntheater.org

Composer Scott Miller joined forces with Rosemary Williams, Pat O'Keefe, Jacqueline Ultan, Norah Long, & Jeff Lambert to investigate models and conceptions of measuring and experiencing time using Prague's Astronomical clock as a metaphor. Through multi-channel video projection, live performance and interactive electronic audio environments, The Cosmic Engine explores the tension between the strict architecture of time-telling and "the dissolution of that structure into absurdity and chaos." The Cosmic Engine premiered on May 30 & 31, 2008 as part of The Electric Eyes New Music and Media Festival at the Southern Theater in Minneapolis.
