Disappearing Magic Stones
Album: 23 Nov 2005
By: RobertJarvis

http://www.robertjarvis.co.uk

Composer Robert Jarvis has a new CD coming out this month on the Motile label. Entitled Magic Stones, it comprises a series of compositions related to time and place, including the Disappear installation soundtrack and the eponymous Irish installation: Magic Stones.

Discussion (Descriptions, reviews, discussion):

Disappear has been short-listed for this year's British Composer Awards in the New Media category. Created entirely in Kyma, the piece uses subtle granulations and filtering and demonstrates Kyma's spatialization abilities, propelling all sounds into a constant state of movement. The quality of the resulting sounds gives the work an intimate atmosphere.
