The MADStudio (http://www.madstudio.lsu.edu) has become an educational component of the Laboratory for Creative Arts & Technologies, a research group in the LSU Center for Computation & Technology. Creative and research opportunities include collaborations with visual artists, animators, scientists and performers. Kyma systems are used extensively throughout the program, with activity in both studio composition, live performance and alternative controllers. Currently, electroacoustic curriculum is offered through the composition degree. Contact the LSU School of Music (http://www.music.lsu.edu) for information on applications and scholarships.

The LSU School of Music is looking for qualified candidates for a graduate assistantship in Electroacoustic Music. Responsibilities include maintaining the school's Electroacoustic Music Studios, teaching entry-level courses, and assisting with the overall activities of the studios. Students who are interested in computational research will be considered for additional opportunities with the Center for Computation & Technology, Lab for Creative Arts & Technologies.
