kyma•tweaky . How . FillPitchesViaMIDIFile

Question (or Task)

I´ve been trying to fill the pitches field of an analog sequencer by reading a MIDI file without success. Is it possible to read a MIDI file directly within the AnalogSequencer? Pitches field? How might I accomplish this? In the attached sound, MiDiSeq?:Kbd Arp Sample Seq, for example.

Thanks Carla for your help - I also wanted to ask if it is possible to access an OrderedCollection? in the ExtraValues? part of an AnalogSound?. I tried #(!Resonance ?resSeq) for example but this syntax isn´t allowed.

and

along with the duration/pitch and velocity parameters - is is possible within Kyma to parse MIDI Control Messages?

Solution(s)

Intriguing idea! I put a Script in the Share section that reads a channel of a MIDI file, extracts the velocities, durations, and pitches, and then puts them into AnalogSequencer parameter fields. If you come up with some interesting things to do with it, please post some of them here; I'd love to play with them! Thanks.
