kyma•tweaky . How . SimulateUnderwaterSound

Question (or Task)

How do I synthesize a filter to simulate the way we hear when our ears are submerged and sound is coming from outside the water?

Solution(s)

Not sure how well this would work but you could try putting a microphone under water and generating some broadband sounds in the air (like clapping, dropping bricks, setting off firecrackers, etc). Then you could use one of the resulting recordings as the Response in Pete's CrossFilter Sound. That way, you could put any sound you like through the "water __CrossFilter__".

Please let us hear your results (I am curious)!
