kyma•tweaky . Know . TurnOnOrConnectProcessor

Problem

Kyma is not starting up. The paca(rana) is connected and visible in information about the computer. But when Kyma is started a pop-up box says: "Please turn on or connect your kyma signal processor".

Information about setup: mac book OSX 10.5.8, 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. FW400->MOTU ultralitemk3 -> FW400-FW800->Paca(rana).

I have this same problem (using mac book pro OSX 10.5.8, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3) FW800 -> FW800Paca(rana)FW800 -> FW400->Presonus Firebox. I also get additional symptoms, where sometimes it won't get past the DSP check after launching Kyma, or it will fail to set the Firebox as the interface, and hang. It seems to have a hard time communicating with the Firebox, and I wonder if perhaps it is because the mac grabs hold of the Firebox before Kyma can, causing a conflict. I did notice on one occasion that the firebox was listed in the System Preferences->Sound control panel, despite being sure not to have any drivers loaded for it on the mac.
