kyma•tweaky . Know . VCSPresetList

Problem

The preset list in the VCS does not always list its entire contents. E.g. There might be 10 or so presets in the list but clicking on the list might only show three or four at a time, making it difficult to select the required preset.

Solution

Doesn't the pop up menu have entries at the top and bottom (drawn as up and down pointing triangles) which you can use to scroll through the presets that are not being shown?

Sometimes yes - but often the displayed entries are only 1 or 2 out of say 10 entries - hence they scroll through too fast and it difficult to select the required one. It would be great if they could all be listed (if the total of entries was say less than 10, otherwise it could list ten entries and allow scrolling through them).

The way the list works is to have the selected preset positioned to be under the mouse pointer. If the selected preset is near the center of the entire list, then you would get the behavior you are describing.

If you hold down the Option or Control key while clicking the mouse on the drop down list arrow, the list will be positioned so that the top of the list is under the mouse pointer, which will display all entries.

Also ... if you move the VCS window away from the edge of the computer (usually for me this means dragging it down away from the top of the screen) you will have easy access to all the presets.
