Welcome, TWikiGuest!

Welcome to kyma•tweaky! This is a TWikiSite (pronounced twee-kee site), a web-based collaboration platform where geographically distributed colleagues can work together on projects of common interest. Anyone can contribute using any web browser. kyma•tweaky looks like a normal web site... except that it encourages the contribution and editing of pages, questions, answers, comments and updates.

How a TWiki Works

  1. Browse this site as you would any other website, by clicking and following interesting links.
    • Sections: kyma•tweaky is divided into sections (available as links on the left edge of the window), each one representing an area for collaboration: Connect | Share | Learn | How | Know | Wish | User | TWiki | Sandbox
    • Topics: Each section is made up of topics that appear as links in your browser.
  2. Contribute to the project! (To edit and contribute you must Register.) From your browser you can change or add to anything you see in a topic. Use regular text, HTML or TWikiShorthand. To contribute:
    • Become a member so you can edit or write new content. Registration is simple and it's free. By registering you also create a personal home page.
    • click Edit at the top of any topic and make your changes
    • click [ Save ] at the bottom of the window to save your changes (use your brower's Back button if necessary)
  3. It's up to you! kyma•tweaky is an emergent property of member participation. To make any sort of impact in WikiCulture, you must generate content. Revision control keeps all content, so nothing is lost. Anyone can play but only the good players have a desire to keep playing. It is easy for any member to delete flames, spam and trivia. If you see a mistake or omission, you can fix it immediately rather than reporting it to a webmaster. What remains is naturally meaningful.
  4. Experiment by editing your personal page or visiting the Sandbox web.
    1. Link To link to another topic, start by editing an existing topic.
      • To create a link to an existing topic type its JoinCapitalizedWords name (or enclose a word or phrase within double square brackets). WikiWords (two or more capitalized words run together) link automatically.
      • A new link shows up with a "?" (question mark) after its name; click the question mark to create a new web page.
      • Another way to create a topic is to type it's WikiWord in the Go box and click the GO button.
    2. Topic history click Diffs at the bottom of the page
    3. Attach files click Attach to upload and attach any type of file.
  5. Organize: You can use TWikiForms and FormattedSearches to include topic information - for example, classify pages by subject, status, or date.
  6. Learn more TWikiTutorial is a 20-minute tour of TWiki essentials. WikiReferences links to selected articles and books about Wiki technology and online collaboration. * Read more about TWiki at http://TWiki.org/
