Description: A one-day course on sound design, composition & live performance in the context of the Kyma sound design language. The course will delve into material not covered in Kyma X Revealed. If you are curious about Kyma, the course offers a chance to see Kyma in action, solving sound design and musical problems. If you are Kyma veteran, the course offers some new approaches to teaching Kyma and to using Kyma in your own work (plus a glimpse at some newly developed synthesis algorithms you haven't heard yet!) If you are new to Kyma, this course can serve as an opportunity to learn more about how to use Kyma.

Come for the course and stay for SEAMUS: 3 solid days and nights of computer music and paper presentations (plus an optional banquet with an open bar and a keynote presentation by Curtis Roads).

olin"The course will delve into material not covered in Kyma X Revealed."

I can only speak for myself, and I do not mean to convey any disrespect towards Carla and Kurt at SSC for all their fine work over the years, when I say that making available such an opportunity is all well and good, however, as a paying customer for multiple products of yours, it is disheartening to read that such privileged information may not be made readily accessible, in the not to distant future, to those faithful Kyma users who are unable to attend Semus.

Would you kindly consider my opinion in the spirit that it was intended?

SSCSorry, I didn't mean to imply that we would reveal some secret handshakes or key-combinations only to the select few who can travel to Minnesota for the (free) workshop. What I meant was more along the lines of "please read the book first" because this won't be a dumbed-down introductory tutorial, but more of a Master Class for Kyma users who are already familiar with the basic operations.

I'll talk to the conference organizers about the possibility of recording the class.
