On August 31 2004, BT won the Surround Sound Maverick Award for his work on the score for Monster. Released in Surround Sound, Monster was recognized for the use of "unusual instruments and an unusual mix, done by BT himself." A portion of the profits from the SMAs goes to We Are The Future.
