kyma•tweaky: Know VCSproblems

Problem

some things in the vcs editor seem not to work as they should:

copy+past of widgets doesn´t work at all.
merging of layouts doesn´t work always
i don´t understand the behavior of "show hidden widgets" - my understanding is that this option should show all possible widgets - which doesn´t happen in this timeline i am working on -> can there be a problem with the "master controls" ?
i cannot find a way to open more than one vcs window at a time.

Solution

Copy/Paste of widgets is definitely working (I did it just the other day when I was working on the cellular automata VCS). Maybe you did not select the widgets first? The way I always do it is:

1. Select All 2. Copy 3. Move to different layer or open a different VCS 4. Select All (optional) 5. Paste

Only one VCS can be open at any one time (always associated with the Sound that is currently playing).

The VCS shows all live controls. Is it possible that your Master controls are automated rather than live?

ok, copy paste works also here, only that i have to play another sound in between so see the changes
i wanted to have different layouts of the same vcs opened in different windows
no, i have the master controls set to live...
