Introduce yourself As a former instructor at Vancouver Film School's Sound Design for Visual Media program, I was first introduced to Kyma by a student about eight years ago and quickly realized that it was a tool that would lend itself to my studio setup. I purchased a used Capybara from a former student who thought it would be better utilized by myself and I've never looked back. My Capybara now has four API preamps as a front end, resulting in a sound that I'm so happy with. This combination, coupled with an Avid 003R running Pro Tools 8 with the complete production kit, runs on a MacBook? Pro i7 with monitoring taken care of by a Mackie VLZ 3 board and Bose Quiet Comfort headphones when recording.
